THE "SCOPPIO DEL CARRO" - EASTER SUNDAY

On Easter Sunday the appointment with the "Scoppio del Carro", the oldest Florentine popular tradition that has been handed down for over nine centuries, takes place

The re-enactment regards the deeds of the Florentines in the Crusades and their return to the city in 1101.

The departure of the parade with the 'Brindellone' will take place, as always, from Porta al Prato; it will be followed by the exhibition of the Bandierai of the Uffizi in Piazza della Repubblica, the draw of the tournament of San Giovanni of the Florentine Calcio Storico, which precedes the fireworks display by a few minutes.
